Mantrailing

Mantrailing is a pawsome fun activity for your dog and you. Work with your dog as they learn to follow a specific person’s scent through tons of other scents and distractions to locate the “missing person” at the end of a trail to earn their reward – We guarantee you’ll both have pawsome fun.
We work the dogs individually which means that we can work with all dogs, even those who may be anxious or reactive. All sorts of dogs can trail, so mantrailing is perfect for dogs who aren’t able to take classes, and for young or elderly as its a low impact fun sport.
If your new to Mantrailing you can join us for an introductory workshop or join two of the general sessions where you will learn the basics of Mantrailing, Line Handling, Trail Laying, and of course trail your dog to find a “missing person”.

Once you have completed the introductory sessions you can attend any regular and progression trails with any Mantrailing Global or United Canine Scentsport trailing instructor across the UK, especially those with The Pawsome K9.
On regular trails you will work as a Mantrailing team with your dog to progress your skills across different challenges, environments and venues. We trail in locations best suited to the progression needs of the dog. Urban – town, business parks, residential, industrial areas, villages, and rural – woodlands, farmland, parks and commons, as well as extra special venues such as friendly garden centres, and private locations.
Your dog will be taking the lead, showing you how pawsome a K9 nose is, and over time you will learn the subtle communication cues and trailing behaviours unique to your dog as you work as a team to find the hidden person – Mantrailing is great for building a strong partnership with your dog, enhancing your relationship.
The regular mantrailing sessions run as practice, fun or for working through your levels achieving UCS rosettes or gaining Mantrailing Global badges .
All sorts of locations across the “three counties corner” of North Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire borders, to challenge those noses to seek and find a hidden person.
The Location will be confirmed prior to the event, however it will be within 20 miles of Basingstoke.
